Subject: From: Date: | Re: [ECS] Soundcard Question Scott Danks Thu, 26 Aug 1999 09:28:34 -0500 |

First of all, is anyone running ECS on a 486/66?
passes/sec WAS about 12 -20 before it was limited to 4 now. (Which really helps with
the system doing other things....Thanks Mark). But, I have an Aztec 2320 card. I tried
win98 and went back to win95, but the sound card breaks up the speech when talking.
I have changed it to the "telephone" voice (8 khz) (using msttsl.exe), and this did
not make a diff. I am thinking that I have a cheap sound card that I might want to
replace. It is about 5-6 years old. Has anyone had similar problems? I might just
give up and change to a pentium 200 or so. The new html manual takes about 3-4 minutes
to load with ie 3.02 on this 486 (just fyi).
Is there a new minimum recommended system with all these new enhancements?
Scott.
