Subject: From: Date: | Re: [ECS] Soundcard Question Ingo Pakleppa Thu, 26 Aug 1999 16:52:18 -0700 |
I recently bought a 400 MHz K-6/2 + motherboard for under $180, in AT
format. In fact, another K-6 motherboard I bought even came with built-in
video and sound hardware for $90. Add $90 for the processor, and you are in
business. Of course, you might need to add some memory - the one from the
486 is probably not useable any more. And don't forget a new hard disk -
486' by now are at the age where the hard disks reach the end of their MTBF.
