I managed to talk my wife into letting me have the closet under the stairway. It works
pretty good, since it is long and slopes, and I have removed the bottom shelf at the
back, so the top shelf is at the table level, and that's where the pc sits. I attached
plywood to the walls and I mount the electronics and wires on them. My kids think it's
funny when I drag a chair into the closet and close the door. My 4 year old wants to
come in and hide. I have a florescent overhead, and the stairway goes over the return
air duct, so I drilled a hole in the wall between the closet and the return, and I need
to mount a fan there to cool the closet from all the equipment. I really like it, but
when I married my wife, I told her up front that I just have one requirement and that
is to be able to automate the house. She said as long as it looked good and was easy
to use it's o.k. She just objects to the long hours I have been putting in on the system.

{sniffle}

It's all true, guys, my wife ostracized me and all my HA "junk" to the
laundry room! Node 0 is just a couple of feet away from "Snuggle". Someone
else tell me the same things has happened to him, so I'll feel better.
Contrary to what Gary intimated, I don't do the laundry. (Pam doesn't trust
me--thank heaven.) I do, however, have a 1940's mahogany phone booth around
the corner, complete with old phone. The kids love it. (Okay, so do I.)

I'll slink back to my cave now... I'll get you, Gary! ;-)
