Hi David!
Bummer! As I mentioned at our first ECS get-together, I'm lucky that my
wife actually likes this stuff. (I made sure of that BEFORE I married
her!:)
Anyway, her only rule was no visible wires. So, I have gone through great
pains to satisfy that requirement. Of course, I have committed some serious
wiring sins in the closets, which we agreed were fair game.
Also, before we moved in, I made sure to stake my claim to that for which I
had longed for many, many years. That which previously seemed only a dream,
unattainable to mortal man: my very own room that would become my home
automation and A/V control center. My space - my haven - my technological
kingdom - to call my own and do with as I will! Mine!
Of course, as timing is everything, I strategically made sure to secure her
blessing of my little fiefdom while we were at the closing on the house,
before I signed the papers. :)
Cheers!
Michael David

{sniffle}
It's all true, guys, my wife ostracized me and all my HA "junk" to the
laundry room! Node 0 is just a couple of feet away from "Snuggle". Someone
else tell me the same things has happened to him, so I'll feel better.
Contrary to what Gary intimated, I don't do the laundry. (Pam doesn't trust
me--thank heaven.) I do, however, have a 1940's mahogany phone booth around
the corner, complete with old phone. The kids love it. (Okay, so do I.)
I'll slink back to my cave now... I'll get you, Gary! ;-)
