Mark:
I appreciate your status reports re the evolving functionality of the CPU-XA.
These are very helpful as I evaluate which way to go to add IR support to my
system. Due to the problems you have reported, I have deferred consideration of
this product. Please be sure to let us know when you can identify which
versions of the product and/or PROM are ultimately required to achieve proper
operation with ECS.

Subject: [ECS] CPU-XA dimming problem
I need to repeat/clarify a problem with the CPU-XA
PROM release 8.21: When sending an X-10 command, the
unit erroneously "echoes" it back to ECS, causing ECS
to think that the command has been sent by the CPU-XA
AND another transmitter. So if you dim a light with ECS,
it will think that it has been dimmed by twice the amount
that it has. I think this problem has been corrected with
the 8.22 PROM. But I would hold off on ordering a new PROM
until ADI speeds up the IR transmissions (hopefully :-)).
