Re: [ECS] Telephone Question

Mark -

Mark I do not following your instructions in your note to '..."Get manual"
by setting it to CALL yourself. Then worry about getting the Events to work. '

The only thing that ECS does when I press 5 is to say, "your call is being
transferred" then phone box5 begins recording instead of dialing the dial
string. The event is simply if phone-rings is now 2 then Answer set
answer. I know of no manual way to have a phone box answer unless you call
and then press 5.

In the DOS version this was my dial string:

FWW0WWW404-871-7804A10

When one pressed 5 during the announcement message after ECS answered the
call ECS would then place the call on hold, get a new dial tone on my
answer transfer option, dial my pager and then transfer the call. ECS was
several seconds slow in releasing the call, but it worked and transferred
the caller to my pager and then ECS hung-up. ECS is extension 11 on my
Panasonic PBX.

This is a phone-box and not a phone-call, The dial string is not being
executed in the phone-box. Since I am new to the ATDT type string possibly
I need to add some different commands ????

In the ecs.log the following line appears:
09/08 12:45 AM:Modem ERROR responding to "ATDT,,!,,,4048717804,, !" (Item
"Phone-Answer")

I tried my item with both of the following dial strings

ATDT,,!,,,4048717804,, !
ATDT,,!,,,4048717804,, A!
ATDT,,!,,,4048717804,, X!
ATDT,,!,,,4048717804,, X

each time ecs begin to record a message

     Gary
