OK, I'm getting deeper and deeper into ECS, and loving it.  But every time I
start a new thought, I have new questions.

This time:

I'm trying to move my Homevision IR stuff into ECS now, but having to use
numbers for the signals is kinda kludgy.  (Why is this so different than the
IR-Signal?)  So what I'm trying to do now is to give them names, just like
in the Homevision software.

Can I do this through Custom Items?  Do I just create a Custom Type in the
Itpcst.def file so I can then refer to them by name?
