mark - would it be possible to make an override to the action that marks a message as
new by single clicking on it in the message window? one of the factors i 
use to determine whether or not someone is home is to check to see if there are new
messages waiting. if i need to replay an old message, it becomes 'new' 
when first selecting it, occasionally touching off some 'scott has left the building'
events...

if you'd really like to tweak it, it'd be great to right click on a message item and
have "mark as new" or "play message" as choices...
