Hi Don,
I guess that the tags could cause problems (Michael
remembers better than I :-)), but the size of the file
should NOT. However, I HAVE re-created the problem
(which is "significant"):
This is what I have determined so far:
1) Speaking a "large" file (30-sentences in my case) caused sys
resources to drop to NIL (eventually forcing me to reboot).
2) This problem does NOT occur on my Quantex/Pentium/32-meg
(only on my Zeos/486/32-meg). PUZZLING ?????????
3) This problem does NOT occur if a WAVE engine is defined
for the TTS Item. So we know that the problem is related
to the process which converts text to a WAVE file (this
(does not normally occur if a FILE engine is defined).
