RE: [ECS] Dreaded Com Error

Mark,

I posted about this a couple of days ago, but never saw the post come
through. I re-recorded errbell.wav and bell.wav and the problem still
exists. I am running a K6 200Mhz. It doesn't seem to me to have anything
to do with wav queuing. I will get the error messages in the middle of the
night when nothing at all is going on.

Don,
The file is PR.TXT (as documented under "Support").

I have just made a change which should minimize this
error, though it still can occur if WAV files are
queued for playback and one is playing when ECS
requests data from a device. What I did was to make
ECS play BELL.WAV/ERRBELL.WAV with wait, unless other
WAVs are queued. This update has been uploaded to
ECSB.ZIP (BETA).

To all: To my knowledge, this error only ocurrs on
slower PCs (66MHZ). Even under extreme test conditions,
I cannot re-create it on my Quantex/233MHZ.
