Subject: From: Date: | PLC-TX overflow Michael David Sat, 16 Oct 1999 09:37:25 -0400 |
Hi Mark!
How did you change the PLC logic in 4.1.016? Is there something different
about when a light item state actually reflects its change in state? For
example, in this new version, does the state of a light item not change
until the command is acknowledged by the PLC interface?
The reason I ask is that I am getting PLC-TX overflows when I start this new
version. When I go back to the previous version, this problem is not
happening. I also notice, when I am getting these PLC-TX overflow errors, I
can't change the state of a light item manually. In other words, if a light
is Off, and I set it to On (in the group page), it immediately reverts back
to off, until the Redac's PLC buffer is cleared. Once that happens, the
state of the light changes to on. Because of the way some of my event logic
is written, this is causing PLC commands to be sent repeatedly. For
example:
If Dark is False
And Light Is Not Off
Then Light Set Off
Here's an example of the error message I am getting from ECS (although I am
getting many similar errors from many different events):
3111 O 10/16 9:12 AM:PLC-TX overflow (Item "MBR Nightlight") ("Time" line
71)
I am using PLC-Interface-2C.
Let me know if this didn't make sense, and I'll try again. :)
Cheers!
Michael David
