Set the item default record setting to "No." For example the way I handle
known solicitors is:
|Item:Phone: answ. solici Type:Phone-Answer Acc:User/User
| Initial State:(none) Backup:No
| Message Item :Answer: Solicitor
| Default Rec ?:No
| If Caller-ID-C Is GE 5000
| And Caller-ID-C Is LE 5499
| Then Phone: answ. solici Set Answer
| Then Caller-ID-C Set None

Subject: [ECS] CID events
I am finally working on perfecting my phone service event. I could probably
figure this out eventually but I am tired of driving to the nearest phone
booth to call my house!
I have a CID event, call it CID: Block
This event has initial state lets say 8
I set up a phone-answer event with a voice-recording saying "Sorry I can't
accept your call" call it BLK: Answer
My objective: To answer the phone with the message correct message and hang
up.
Now in my 'phone service' event I say the following:
If CID-C is now 8
Then BLK: Answer set answer
What Next?
I have not tried:
If CID-C is now 8
Then BLK: Answer set do not answer
Can anyone save me more pay phone trips?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Kevin
