     You could use two relays each in series with a diode. Reverse the  
polarity of the diodes and parallel each relay/diode across the motor leads. 
One relay will pull in with one polarity and the other relay will pull in 
with the opposite polarity. No relays energized motor not energized. 
Something like this.
