Subject: From: Date: | Re: [ECS] CPU-XA and dimming Jerry Swords Wed, 20 Oct 1999 22:31:57 -0400 |
Hi Mark,
I'm having troubles dimming with the CPU-XA, also. As with the TC+, dimming
is done with noticeable "stepping", but only when dimming is done with ECS.
Also, with both devices, ECS still will not accurately reflect the current
dim levels of X10 modules. Using the software that came with both the
CPU-XA and the TC+, dimming is done in a smooth, gradual manner, and the dim
level is accurately reflected by the software.
I would love to free up a serial port for monitoring my UPS, but until
either the CPU-XA or the TC+ dim and track dim levels properly, I am stuck
using a CM11A interface for all X10 functions.
My CPU-XA revision numbers are:
Firmware: 8.21/11
Application 2.37
I have given up trying to use the CPU-XA, although I just purchased the unit
in August. Whenever I try to add the CPU-XA to ECS, I get a message from
ECS indicating that my CPU-XA revision number is less than v8.22.
Let me know if you want me to try anything.
Thanks,
Jerry
