Jerry, the rev message is just a warning.
The problem with the older PROM is that it "echoes"
transmitted X10 commands back to ECS, which then
interprets them twice (resulting in inaccurate Light States).
The dim-stepping is expected, and is required
for ECS to accurately monitor dim levels.
All X10 transceivers supported by ECS dim
in this fashion.
