Subject: From: Date: | Tech Win question Mark Gilmore Thu, 04 Nov 1999 17:15:08 -0500 |
To any who may help,
This is an OLD Win problem that I never resolved:
When I attempt to run SETUP on my Win CDROM, I get this error:
"Some control panel or device settings have changed since you
last started windows. Please exit all programs and try again."
I have verified numerous times that this error's causes/
solutions found on the web do NOT apply to my situation.
When I boot into "SAFE MODE", I can't access the CDROM.
When I attempt to boot into the CDROM, Win reports a "failure"
and continues booting from the hard drive.
I made a bootable diskette, but it only boots into DOS and
I can't access the CDROM.
ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
