Hello all,
ECS 4.2.001 has been released/uploaded and incorporates the
changes below (note that I "bumped" 4.1.016 to 4.2).
Latest upgrade instructions are attached.

Given the considerable number of enhancements made since 4.1
(5/13/99), I feel justified in asking for a minimal upgrade fee
of $20 for ECS-Standard and $10 for ECS-Lite (see attached for
details). This charge will NOT apply to those who have purchased
ECS within the last 6 months, who have made other "donations",
and/or have spent significant time beta testing (please remind
me when requesting the new authorization-code). If, for any reason,
you feel that the charge should not apply to you, please let me
know why and I'll try to accommodate :-).

If you need the auth-code NOW, feel free to call anytime
from 9AM-8PM/EST (weekends OK).

ECSB.ZIP has been deleted, as it is now obsolete.

BTW, I fixed the problem reported by Mark S.

Later...

Downloading/Installing Updates
Note: This procedure requires WinZip or PKUNZIP (from PKWARE).

To download/install updates from the Internet:

  1. For ECS-Standard users: Email us (omnip@usit.net) for the current Authorization-Code (without this code, ECS will run in Lite mode). The following upgrade charges apply, per your current version:
    ECS 3.3 $45 (01/05/98)
    ECS 4.1 $40 (05/13/99)
    ECS 4.2 $20 (11/06/99)
These charges do NOT apply to those who purchased ECS in the last 6 months, or those who have have spent significant time beta testing (please remind us of this when requesting the code). If, for any reason, you feel that the charge should not apply to you, please let us know why and we will try to accommodate.

We do not require payment before providing the code (your notice of intent to pay is sufficient). Send payments to:

        1. From your Win DeskTop, click MY COMPUTER.
        2. Click the icon for your C: drive.
        3. If your new folder is to exist within another folder, then select that folder.
