Count me in for one (PCI or ISA) providing that they are supported by

A lot of apps assume certain irq and i/o address based on the com port
number. How do these 8 port cards work with common serial type applications?
Is there certain assumptions made of an application for them to work or
certain apps that cannot use this type of card?
Thanks,
Dave
