Karl,
     I recently purchased a Zoom 2800 Comstar from PC Connection, Inc. There
phone number is 1-800-800-6947. Our local Computer City, CompUSA, Best Buy,
Fry's, and others did not carry the Comstar. The 2800 Internal ($69.95), the
2835 external ($99.95), and the 2818 internal ($115.95). They did not have the
2802. Shipping and handling $5.95 which includes next day air.
     Mark has not listed the 2818 as a compatible modem, however, Zoom has
indicated the 2818 is currently replacing the 2800 and it is identical in all
respects except it's faster. The 2835 is also being replaced later this year.
I elected to go with the 2800.
