Carl,

ComStar is a Zoom modem so the box is likely to say something like Zoom
ComStar.  Mine is a 33.6 and I beleive the model number is 2800 or 2835.

According to their website they do have a 56k model

They also list a 28.8 model through their liquidation center for only $49.

Thanks Mark. I was just in CompUSA, didn't see a "ComStar"
exactly.  Would you know it's full name. I assume it's a 56k
fax, CiD etc.
