Mark,
When it fails again, you might try plugging your
mini-controller into the same outlet as your X10
transceiver. If it also fails, you know you have
some kind of "noise"/interference problem (which
may be caused by a particular appliance).
That's my only theory.

BTW, what is this "WINMAIL.DAT" attachment ?
