What I did was make a copy of my ecs.cfg file and then cut and pasted all
the items and events into my existing .cfg file.  Next I deleted any event
lines I did not need (ex. Cband), although this would not be a necessity.
Finally, double check that Mark's name for any item you already have, is the
same as yours (or just use a new item).

I would guess the whole process took me about 20 minutes.

Hi,

How would the TVL events and items in example.cfg
be merged with a current cfg?
TVL, from what I can gather from example.cfg,
seems amazing, and complex!
I wasn't able to find specifically where an event
is used to trigger announcements of text matches
in the download.
