Kevin,
Any CCD camera can see IR. I am no expert but what I would explore is the
cheapest color camera I could find and then put in a standard light in a
homemade enclosure using an Optical Plastic Filter for Infra Red. One source
is http://www.mars-cam.com/optical/page_12.html
There are also ready made Infra Red light sources. (hope that was half way
clear)

Subject: [ECS] BABY CAM?
Hi All,
I am looking for a good baby cam that I intend to modulate into my video
distribution system. I have looked at a few but do not know much about
them. From what I have seen many baby cams have the IR lights so you can
see baby in the dark-but aren't all these B&W? I would like color. Could I
get away with a decent low light color camera? I also don't want to break
the bank. Any thoughts?
Thanks
Kevin (Expecting "First Time" Father)
