Subject: From: Date: | Re: [ECS] 14.4 Zoom Modem problems Mark Gilmore Mon, 13 Dec 1999 20:06:56 -0500 |
Scott,
Ignore the "fclass" error (this is just
ECS determining what kind of commands the
modem accepts).

just mention this in case any of you have already figured out a fix for this problem.
I have the Zoom VFP 14.4 and have it configured as the phone-interface-c item. I setup
the system to page me when phone messages are left. This did not work, so I setup just
a pager test. When one of the items "Pager-test" is now on, the system just does a
"send->pager" and sends a message that this is a test page. When the modem tries to
connect to the pager company, it gets back responses that it is dialing and connecting
at 1200. Then it never gets a return of the "id=" string. It did work about 2 out
of 5-6 times. It would fail the rest of the time. Also oddly, it gets a response that
there was an error sending "at +fclass=8". I have run some debugs for Mark and he is
looking at them, but I thought I would save him the work if someone else has fixed this
problem already. I reset the modem to fa!
