Binary display

I am quite new to this program and have read all the documentation
but still have some questions. Most of them I think I can figure
out just by playing around. The one question I can't seem to find
an answer to is can a binary number be displayed in the Icon Type
rather than a decimal number. When I read a value using the
I/O-Port-Byte it is easier to see which bits are on or off when
its binary. I am also trying to get an old ONE-FOR-ALL remote with
a serial input to work. I will have to bit bang it through the
serial port but was wondering if anyone has already done this.
