This has been uploaded to http://www.usit.com/omnip/ecsb.zip (BETA): 4.2.007 (12/20/99) * 171) TVLFAVS.TXT has been renamed to TVLFAV.TXT. Please rename this file and update all refs in ECS.CFG accordingly. 172) 3 new States (OPEN, RE-OPEN, & CLOSE) are now supported for the FILE Type (see ECS.HTM for details). 173) A new Type (MENU-FILE) is now supported which allows text files to be used as "menus" in separate windows. * 174) The new TV-GUIDE Event in EXAMPLE.CFG maintains a separate menu window which lists all TV shows currently on the air, plus shows which will air within 2 hours (adjustable). Favorites are marked with an asterisk ("*"). See EXAMPLE.CFG for instructions on how to use this window to select channels and announce/view/record shows. When inserting the TV-GUIDE Event in your cfg, also insert the new TVL PARSE Event. 175) The max size of a Text-Line has been increased from 65 to 128. 176) The Message Screen is now re-sizable. * 177) TVL listings now display times in AM/PM format (verus military). To update your cfg, replace your TVL Event with that listed in EXAMPLE.CFG. To modify other related files, execute TVLUPD.BAT (note that this will take a while). Then edit TVLFAV.TXT and make sure that all time fields have the added character (for "a" or "P"): C Date Weekday Time Len Chan# Channel Show * ***** ********* ****** *** ****** ********** **** R --/-- --------- --:--- --- ------ ---------- Super Bowl~ R --/-- --------- --:--- --- ------ ---------- World Series~ * 178) EXAMPLE.CFG (TVL Event) now checks for TV shows every 5 minutes, so as to account for unusual start times. 179) Corrected a remote phone session problem whereby ECS could hangup too quickly after playing messages and issuing the 15-second warning ("please respond within 15 seconds"). 180) ECS now supports the NAPCO GEMINI security systems via these new Types: Security-IFC-C Security-RTS-C Security-Zone-C Security-Area-C 181) Corrected a bug which caused certain hundreth values to be misinterpreted in Events. For example 182) Corrected a TVL problem caused by shows (usually on special-feeds) which are NOT followed by another show within a "reasonable" time frame (on the same channel). This would cause TVL2.EXE to calculate a VERY long (and erroneous) duration for that show (i.e. over 999 minutes), which would cause "***" to be placed in the show length field of that show's TVL.TXT line. To account for this, show "lengths" over 480 minutes are now treated as 60 minutes. * 183) EXAMPLE.CFG (via TV-GUIDE Event) now supports the ability to filter unwanted shows from your TV-Guide listings. To do so, just delete those shows in the TV-Guide window (via <DELETE> button). * 184) In TVLFAV.TXT, ONLY dashes are now treated as "don't-care"s. Previously, ALL non-alphanumeric characters were ignored, but this resulted in erroneous channel-name matches (e.g. "USA " would be considered a match for "USAP"). * 185) A new argument is now required for TVL.BAT (to denote if you wish to override the default channel #'s). Please append 0 (no override) or 1 (override) to your TVL.BAT Text Item: EXAMPLE: | Text :TVL.BAT TZ-E 0 * 186) The new TV-LISTINGS Event in EXAMPLE.CFG maintains a separate menu window which lists the ENTIRE TV-listing file. See EXAMPLE.CFG for instructions on how to use this window to select channels and announce/view/record shows. * 187) When processing the SET/CHAR operator, ECS now resets the character position index at the start of every Event (INCLUDING called Events), and when the Text-Line differs from the last one referenced with SET/CHAR. Previously, the index was reset only at the start of NON-called Events. 188) Corrected a bug which could keep the "SIGNAL DELAY" from having the desired EFFECT FOR IR-INTERFACE-2B and IR-INTERFACE-2C Items. 189) Any/all paging "parity errors" are now suppressed/ignored. -- Mark Gilmore Omnipotence (ECS home automation software) http://www.usit.com/omnip 423-745-0026
