Yes, I do have the leading "-"  I have never noticed the * prior to a
favorite.  I'll have to look into that as it does seem that there should be
one.  I think your NICKP is normal.  I am in the central zone.  Several,
although not all, of my stations come with a "C" appended to the call
letters.  For example CBS is CBSC..

When you open the tvl.txt file does it show channel numbers?  If not, then
the issue is with tvl.bat.

Note the "-" leading the string. Do you have this? Also Please note the call
letters vs. cable number, and the lack of "*" indicating a favorite. I am
also struggling with Mark's announcement event, but I think once I deal with
this, the other problems will fall in line.
