Subject: From: Date: | New to Windows ECS Joseph Rutkowski Thu, 06 Jan 2000 10:47:37 -0500 |
Hello
I have been a user of ECS DOS for many years and have finally made the
switch to Windows. I knew from following the group that my biggest
problem may be the phone interface. I have a Zoom comstar 28.8 voice
modem and a standard PCI sound card. I installed ECS and used the cfg
file that came with it and only enabled the phone-interface-c. It seems
I am getting low quality and broken recordings from the sound card and
if the phone interface sees caller ID data it does not play the recorded
answer message. It also seems the volume of the recordings or TTS played
through the phone interface are very low. I remember this being an issue
but do not remember the result. Is there a difference in modems ex.
28.8K 33.6K 56K and is there a difference in sound cards. Any help would
be appreciated.
Thanks
Joe Rut
