Mark, Don't get confused about the NTSC thing. That's the format of the video image here in the U.S. You'll just want to be familiar with the terms "composite" and "S-Video". Both of these types of video jacks will send/receive our NTSC video images. If your TV has video inputs on it, it'll receive a standard composite feed (that's the type your VCR puts out of its video jack). So, now, you've just got to get a VGA card that has a composite output on it. I used one with HAL2000 made by ATI that was just fine; it had both S-video and composite outputs. The cost a year ago was about $55. I found it on www.pricewatch.com, which is a place that multiple vendors advertise the same items. Pricewatch sorts them by price, cheapest first. My Scottish blood loves it. --David -----Original Message----- From: Mark Gilmore [mailto:omnip@usit.net] Sent: Thursday, January 06, 2000 5:04 PM To: ecs-list@netbloc.com Subject: Re: [ECS] VGA->NTSC rec ? David, Should I look for RCA over NTSC ? My TV has no S-Video input.
