Subject: From: Date: | killing the screen saver Scott Reston Fri, 07 Jan 2000 08:22:47 -0500 |
has anyone found a way to kick out of screen saver mode in response to an event? i've
got a window on my desktop that shows live video from the front door.
i've got it set up so that when there's motion at the front door, the video window restores
so that it's the top window, but the screen saver still runs and i have to
wiggle the mouse or hit a key to stop it so that i can see who's at the door. i've tried
setting a key-event up where ECS touches the space-bar (up/down) but
that doesn't seem to fake out the screen saver - is it looking for the keyboard port
or the mouse port to show activity?
thoughts?
thanks...
