Guys, My reference to the memory bug in 4.2.007 is taken from Mark's "UPD.TXT" file...... I was having random problems getting 4.2.007 to properly read/execute my .CFG file... Dunno why but does not happen with 4.2.009 (I'm going to use ".009" for brievity from here on)... What I'm seeing with .009 is: 1. Event that worked flawlessly for 5 months no longer works. Serial port & interface both check out ok. I'm not having any luck with .009 returning a valid value on a Serial-Byte type item. 2. Random COM I/O errors (overflow) on all serial items (Modem, Prairie Digital, PLC, etc.... ALL of 'em) 3. Phone-Interface-C (VFP 14.4 voice modem) randomly answering phone and aparently expecting some sort of "carrier" as error message reports: 055b O 01/16 5:03 PM:No carrier (Item "Phone-Interface-C")(PHN_C_RESET) This was after a phone call that ECS answered, but took no message. 4. Today, I also had a "stutter" with a voice announcement.... I suspect TVL taking too many resources from ECS and my processor (Cyrix MII-300) unable to keep up... As to "memory leak", well, I'm just watching the value for "Free-Memory" on the System page in ECS... Over period of hours goes from >12000 to less than 4000, for whatever that's worth. My system has 64K memory; System resources (Control Panel, System, Performance, shows 64% system resources available..... Bill Anyway, did a complete cold reboot... Disabled TVL stuff.. Disabled all remote networking stuff.. Only running ACE-S, Sygate 3.11 and ECS 4.2.009... That's about it for now...... ----- Original Message ----- From: David Kindred <david_kindred@iname.com> To: <ecs-list@netbloc.com> Sent: Sunday, January 16, 2000 10:36 PM Subject: RE: [ECS] Phone > Guys, > > What phone problems are you seeing?
