Subject: From: Date: | web interface for ECS Scott Reston Wed, 19 Jan 2000 10:27:16 -0500 |
i've been working on a web interface into ECS to make it easier for me to handle HA
from other machines on my network and thought i'd give everyone a
chance to look at it. it parses group screens directly from your ECS.CFG, so it changes
as your configuration changes. you'll need to do a little setup if you're
interested in using it. i've included a text file detailing installation/setup in the
zip.

since i'm running this on my work machine and don't have any interfaces attached, you
won't be able to change the state of anything requiring an interface
(like lights). i've put a couple of test items in the group called "A" that you should
be able to mess with. i'll probably leave this demo up for a couple of days.
let me know if you run into any problems...
one known problem - i'm having trouble parsing the valid states from ITPCST.DEF for
the Pgm-Function type. not sure what's causing the problem. if you're
familiar with perl and regular expressions, i could use some help. send me an email
and i'll detail the problem for you...
regardless, you can still adjust the state of items using this type with the menu at
the bottom of the page....
enjoy.
