Subject: From: Date: | internet timeout Scott Reston Wed, 19 Jan 2000 14:32:18 -0500 |
i've been using postie to send emails from ECS. i've got my machine set up so that whenever
a TCP/IP connection is needed, Win98 knows to automatically
dial out. i recently upgraded to a faster machine. now, i find that postie (and most
other TCP/IP programs - IE included) will time out and say that the mailserver
is unreachable before the dialup completes.
does anyone know if there is a setting in the Win98 networking (or in postie) to adjust
the timout?
