IButtons and Dallas Semiconductor's 1Wire components are essentially the

same. I use ECS and an adapter from sixpoint.com to communicate to
IButtons/1Wire components. Since everything on a 1Wire system
communicates over one wire, adding new components is easy. My system
monitors temperatures in our family room and turns ON and OFF the fan on

the wood stove as needed. I also modified PIR sensors to communicate
their status over the 1Wire system. Everything is done with ECS. Well
worth the time Steve.
