Subject: From: Date: | RE: [ECS] Mailbox Sensor Michael David Thu, 20 Aug 1998 21:33:37 -0400 |
Hi David!
I did something very similar. I ran 3 pair phone wire to the box, where I
installed a Radio Shack magnetic security switch. Two of the wires were
used for the sensor, which connect, at the other end, to one of the redac's
digital inputs. I used two of the remaining wires to connect to the speaker
in the box.
Cheers!
Michael David

what did you do ?
i was going to run 2 conductor low voltage direct burial malibu light wire
and put a contact (security system type) on the mail box door to a
powerflash in the house so when the door opens it sends an x10 signal.
