I have a question about ECS commands.

I am using ECS and ACE . In the documentation for ACE it says that I should send a command
from ECS (ECSUS and ECSUPD).  My question is  1) where in ECS do I send commands? and
2) is there a comprehensive list of all the ECS commands ?
