Bill:
I have been playing around with the Security items as well. This is
what I found out
when you declare an item with the RTS-C type you also set it for a zone
number which you want to monitor.
The state of that item captures the panel output when the status of the item
changes.
For example I set an item called "zone 54" to type RTS_C then set it to
zone 54. When I Open the window ( which is zone 54) the state changes to
"Zone 54 Open" ( or something like that , I don't recall right now the exact
language).
I haven't done it yet , but my goal now is to have ecs respond to changes
in the state (received by the Napco panel ) and turn on and off certain
lights and do other things.
