Joe,
OK, I was using Security-Zone-C type item to do that; reports state of
"Normal" (i.e., closed or ok) or "Open" when the zone is opened (I'm
assuming normally closed contacts for door/window being closed)
How, specifically, did you wire your rs-232 connector to the PC-Mini plug???
Did you use 3 wires only (TXd, RXc, Signal Gnd) and short the others
together or did you also wire in DTR, RTS, etc...???
My problem is that I have ONLY 3 wires available to my panel without MAJOR
wiring problems-----
