Subject: From: Date: | Re: [ECS] Logging OUTGOING calls Bill Walters Sat, 12 Feb 2000 02:26:03 -0600 |
Yessiree........ I regularly log all INCOMING and OUTGOING calls!!!!
Requirements for logging OUTGOING calls:
1. Buy & build Weeder DTMF to serial board (about $32; see their website:
www.weedtech.com )
2. go to ecs archives and download my event info;
(ftp.gallops.com/ecs/eventsamples/ecs4/BWWeeder.txt)
Sometimes makes for v-e-r-y interesting reading; like the morning my
teenager complained of lack of sleep; wanted to stay home from school;
outgoing log showed him on the phone (long distance!) from 12:30 am (or so)
until after 2 am....... I won't tell you the outcome...... You've got
teenagers of your own!
Oh, one last thing; if you decide to implement this project, ECS has changed
the way it handles serial i/o byte items; I need to upload my "changed"
event to the archives.....
E-mail me for details...
