TVL stuff

I just started using the TVL stuff (having some fun with it....)

I followed all the directions in the ECS.htm file, including editing the
DITV.CHN file. The channels that I selected are showing up in the TV Guide,
but so are a bunch of channels that aren't in the DITV.CHN file (for
example, all the new local 900 channels..) If the channel is not listed in
the *.CHN file, shouldn't the default be for it NOT to show up? I tried
adding the 900's to the DITV.CHN file, but they are still showing up. Is
there a specific order that they need to be in, or follow specific
formatting? Also, there are some four digit channels that show up (ex.
9644 - Mega). Four digits aren't possible on DTV...

When the shows are announced, is it by design that they are announced twice?
Is it possible to strip out duplicates? For example, one show in my
TVLFAV.TXT is Seinfeld, which is on a couple of channels at the same time -
so ECS announces Seinfeld like 8 times in a row (the wife is getting annoyed
at that one ;-) Is it possible to change the announcement to be the show
name and the channel #? I haven't been ambitious enough to play with the
Ocelot's IR capability in order to use the <V>iew command.

Also, just to verify... the sole purpose of <MARK> ing a show is to put an
asterisk in front of the TV-GUIDE listings?

Thanks!
