I do not see the RASDIAL line show up at all in the DOS box.

I will try your suggestion tonight.

if that's not working, i'm not sure what the problem is... do you see the
RASDIAL line show up in the window after my script runs? you might need to put a
"START /W" before weather.bat... let it run in it's own session, but have your
'getweather.bat' wait for it to finish...

hmm.. those settings are hidden all over the place. i think you might find it by
going into "internet properties" (in your control panel) and go to the
connection
tab. choose your dial-up connection in the list, then press the "settings"
button... it's in the same place that you can set how many redial attempts you
want.
