Subject: From: Date: | ECS's new DDE & ACE Bill Walters Tue, 7 Mar 2000 16:22:22 -0600 |
Mark,
Just back in from my trip... I have noticed my touchscreen (using ACE) now
operates EXTREMLY SLOWLY.....as to the ability to issue multiple commands
(i.e., "I'm home", then "all lights on", or whatever, just pushing several
buttons in a row; system 'locks' for a while after first command issued)
I opened a window to monitor the network exchange between client/server
(ACE)...
When I change the state on FLAG_Bill Home item, the network monitor shows
ACE first gets a response of the current state of this item, then it's new
state..... That's all ok, and as explained by your UPD.TXT..... However, I
then receive between 55 to 60 MORE updates on the "current state" of the
item that just changed..... This happens for multiple items I have set as
"monitored"......
How about an option to go back to the old way of DDE updating, once per
event pass????? -or- HELP???????
