Subject: From: Date: | RE: [ECS] Occasional ECS freezing Michael David Sat, 11 Mar 2000 13:52:44 -0500 |
Hi Mark!
Yes, I am running it faster than 4 times per second. I'll slow it down and
see if that helps.
It's happening several times a day.
I've tried rebooting, no help.
I'm doing the cntrl-x thing, hoping I can catch it in the act.
Cheers!

Hi Michael,
Are you having ECS execute Events MORE than the default
of 4 times/sec ?
ECS has no wait-loops for any mouse activity (it just
reacts to mouse and timer messages from Win).
If NT somehow failed to send the 1/4-sec timer message
to ECS, then the described behavior would result (moving
the mouse would trigger a message and "wakeup" ECS).
Has this happened more than once ?
If NOT, a reboot may permanently correct it
(assuming some kind of sys corruption).
