X-10 has a personal safety system which uses a heart shaped pendant to
transmit to the RF base which transmits a PLC signal (and places a phone
call).

Subject: [ECS] RF transmitter (NOT ECS-related)
Hi guys,
Might any of you know of a SMALL/PORTABLE transmitter, which
upon detecting a contact closure, will transmit an RF signal
to a receiver, which will then either open/close another contact
OR send a message to a PC ?
To put it more simply, I need to monitor contact closures on
a device being worn on a person (sorry, but further details are
proprietary).
Inovonics HAD such a product (the FA210-C), but they apparently
have too much business to make another run for us, and so have left
me "twisting in the wind".
Sorry for the NON-ECS message, but I'm kinda desperate :-(.
Thanks,
