Reddy and I were just discussing the bankrolling of development for HAI
Omnistat support. Now, up comes phone features!
That brings up the serious question of how to get the features we want
and keep Mark alive, cool & well fed! I certainly don't mind paying my fair
share, but I don't think the people on this list and/or the first few people
to ask for a feature should have to bear the full development cost. I also
don't think that Mark wants to mess with different compile versions with
different feature sets enabled. ECS isn't modular, it seems to be all or
nothing.
Anybody else with some ideas?
I would certainly be interested in kicking in on phone card support,
provided it is multitasking, not a 'house-stopper' like the BigMouth. I am
still in DOS land, but I *think* it makes the most sense to concentrate
development for this in the windows environment. This would be a feature
that would be worth upgrading for (and buying a new PC, if needed).
c'ya,
Wayne
