Mark,

The following "Problem Report" is submitted:

ECS PROBLEM REPORT
------------------
Please use this form when reporting problems,
so as to provide all pertinent info:

ECS 4.3.002

Exact error message reported by ECS:

None

Detailed (step-by-step) instructions on how to reproduce problem:

Any event to send a TEXT type item to a DDE Client.
However, the item's text is "@filename.txt", instead of text

Per ECS documentation, any TEXT item, if the text is prefaced by "@", then
the text
contained in that file will be acted on.

Item definition related to the problem:
 Type : TEXT
 Initial State:(None)
 Backup :No
 Param 1:@HBO1.LST
 Param 2:
 Param 3:
 Param 4:
Name/model of the device related to problem:
 n/a
Other pertinent details (please be VERY specific):

I want to send several lines of text via DDE link to ACE. I thought I could
do this:

Do      HBO1.LST      Set     Send->ID:A

where HBO1.LST is defined as a text item with @HBO1.LST entered as the text
(I want the contents
of file HBO1.LST to be transmitted via DDE link.

Opening the Network monitor window of ACE, I see that ECS sends the
following:

ACEC:0:ECSM:@HBO1.LST

and not the contents of the HBO1.LST file.
