Gary,
I have NO idea why the beta would slow down your network (???...).
For a test, please disable the web api ("SET ECS_WEB=0") and
see if anything changes.

On the next upload, you should see your passses/sec increase
to 3 (on average).

The reason the new pages take so long to load is that I am
now using JAVA Applets to communicate with ECS (which take
some time to load). This is FAR superior to the old method
whereby every State update required a page refresh.
