Hi Gary:
Are you trying the interface over a local network? I've been using Netscape with no
problems, once I addressed the web page correctly. This is how it worked for me...I
created a shortcut to Netscape and plugged this address in.
Netscape.exe XXX.XXX.X.X:3000
where the x represents the numeric IP address.
Hope this helps....

ECS supports a "web interface", whereby ECS Groups may be displayed in web pages.
Currently, these pages only support the ability to conveniently set Item States and
select different Items. We hope to add full editing capabilities in a later release.
Usage:
* Start ECS.
* Start your web browser and assure that the following options are enabled: JAVA
JAVAScript
Style sheets
Where/How in Netscape do you enable:
JAVA
JAVAScript
Style Sheets
I am beginning to think there is no place to make these changes in Netscape 4.7 which
I am using. If there is a place I would like to insure the settings are correct.
I can not find a place to make these adjustments.
The Web Pages seem to basically work OK. Sometimes they do not want to load a Group
and I have to start again at the main page and click on a specific group. Occasionally
a page will not fully load and quits with ? marks in the state of the item.

not want to load complete and either provide an error code or are left with question
marks, however, most pages work fine for me.
