Mark:
My modem is a cheapo PCI modem that doesn't support Caller-ID. Is that the
error? I have a RSA single line thingie to deal with Caller-ID. Does the
modem need to be Caller-ID complient? If not is there some way to make the
modem operational, as now when ECS starts up I get the error described in
my previous post"AT#CLS=8" . I think that is why the modem appears to be non-
operational when I look at it in a Group screen. I tried to change it to
operational, but the same error comes back.
Any suggestions? (I hope I'm not being as vauge as I normally am <grin>)
I'd be happy to buy any reccomended modem, but space is a bit of a problem,
that is why I got a PCI modem in the first place.
Thanks for your time:
Don
