Troy has reported the loss of system resources during ECS
screen switching. I am forwarding this info in homes that
someone will have a clue.

RE: [ECS] Bug in ECSW - System resources eaten up

Well, everything that is typically running at the time is listed in the
attachment from my last email. Tonight I was planning on shutting down
everything except ECS to see if there was a conflict between it and some
other program. However, there is very little running that I don't consider
essential; and I don't see this behavior with any other program.

>From the ECS perspective, I have an CDM11A on COM2 and ECS is running in
Lite mode. One thing I might try is bumping down some of ECS's numbers in
the SETTINGS program; however, I don't think that will cure my problem.
Judging from everyone's discussions on the mailing list, the only difference
I see on the ECS side is that I am running in lite mode where everyone else
likely is running in full mode (even you, perhaps?). A long shot, I
realize, but in my business I have seen stranger software bugs.

My system is a standard Acer Aspire P166 system about 3 years old now (ouch,
how quickly machines can go out of date). Nothing out of the ordinary. All
that info is also in the previous attachment.

If I discover something in my testing tonight, I'll be sure to let you know.
I have enjoyed using ECS over the past few days, especially the
functionality it gives me over the X10 Activehome software.

Thanks,
Troy

Troy, I tried the resource meter, but still cannot re-create
the problem. Perhaps someone else will have a clue.
Is there anything "unusual" about your PC what we should
know about ?
